Headboards…

I am in the market for a relatively cheap headboard…

Mostly because I haven’t found “The One” when it comes to bedroom furniture that I actually want to spend any $$ on…

So, searching (what else!) pinterest, I found these!

What do you think?!

DIY….

I’ve mentioned it before, and I will say it again.

I am TERRIBLE at DIY. I have little to no patience and pay no attention to detail.

It’s fun.

Because I have found soooo many fantastic ideas out there on the world wide web and…

sigh

Soooo…here are some of them…if anyone of you want to tackle them, feel free to make two and send me one!! 🙂

Neat idea….

My mom used to do a lot of cross-stitching when I was a kid….and as a result I attempted a cross-stitch project or two myself.

They weren’t that great…not nearly as good as Mom’s.

But I think this is amazing….and maybe worth trying!

My weekend project…

Ok, so it didn’t take me the whole weekend to do this…actually, it took about an hour. A fabulous, fun and informative hour. I found jewelery I forgot I even had! And that is the whole point of this…wear what I already own.

Although this will make it harder for me to convince my husband I need another turquoise necklace or new earrings….hmmm…

All I used was a $30 picture frame from Ikea, $8 piece of burlap fabric and hammer and nails that already were taking up space in our junk drawer(s)! Oh, and one hour of my time….

I just took out the frame’s glass front, covered the back board with the burlap and put the board back into the frame. Hung it on the wall and added the nails for all my lovely necklaces and such….easy!!

I LOVE IT!

It’s a piece of (cheap) art and I will never have to dig for a necklace or bracelet again!!

A sleepless night…

Last night I came across this blog called kara paslay designs and found this picture of her guest bedroom…..

I am IN LOVE with this headboard!!

And I could not sleep last night.

Plans and ideas were swirling around in my tired little head…
I am making this headboard…..once we finish the bathroom of course!
