On the farm…

On the farm over the past couple of weeks, we my husband and uncle have been pulling the harvest equipment out and giving them the once over….this led to Troy’s uncle getting a new (to us) combine! Fun stuff. It should be here later this week and we’ll be saying goodbye to this one…

(p.s. don’t ask me any details about the new one…all I know is it’s green and newer…this is how much I pay attention…)

The boys washed off the sprayer…

And this is my 10 month old backing it up. 🙂

The boys also stacked bales…..

I think the baby was “a lot” of help….

Here are a few of the bales we have for this winter…this was a good hay year!

We also got to jam in a quick trip to Kalispell and Whitefish, Montana! It was a great trip, saw lots of county and did a lot of shopping. By the end of the trip our wildlife tally was a lot of deer, several elk, 3 black bears and 1 cougar! So amazing to see all these animals out in the wild…my highlight was the cougar…it crossed the road right in front of us as we were entering back into Canada. I had never seen one before and so close! Yikes! And the black bears were fabulous too. Up to this trip all the real live bears I had ever seen were dead ones on the side of the road…

Of course, I didn’t take a single picture…but my darling mother-in-law did, so if she sends them to me, I’ll post some!

Have a great weekend and don’t forget to enter the giveaway!!

Love…

  1. And the only thing that does matter is that the new combine is green! wink wink 🙂

I have never seen a cougar other than in a zoo yet, but I think I want to keep it that way. I have a secret fear of them!

    1. Yes, we are a green family…the kids are “brainwashed” from day one…green and yellow all the way! 🙂 And yes, seeing the cougar was interesting…glad there was a vehicle around us!

  2. Whitefish and Kalispell have some fun shopping.

My trip through Glacier several weeks ago only yielded a big horn sheep…I was really hoping for a bear though. I’m headed to Yellowstone later this month and will be hoping for a Grizzly on that grip. Sadly…My hope for seeing a bear is also hoping to see some idiot get out of their car and try to feed them.

    I’m sick. I know.

    1. LOL…you’re funny. And I would like to see that too… 🙂

  3. I hope your mom in law sends some pics. Those are some huge bales…my oh my! Did you mention shopping?! What did you get?

    1. Stuff for the kids…jewelry for me and some clothes….FUN!

I love to hear what you think!!!
